So I was looking at buying a new lens today and just realised that none are going to be cheap. My camera cost over $800 and the next lens that I want is going to be at or around $600. It's so crazy to think that a lens can be almost the same price as your camera. Im trying to get out of debt and not use my credit cards a whole bunch so It looks like im stuck just saving my pennies. So I also figured that since this is a photoblog I would put up a picture today. This is me in Chicago with my older (since sold) Digital Rebel 300D.
So as some of you may know I got my hands on a new baby last Friday. The Rebel Xt finally came in to replace my aging (it was only a year but that seems long) 300D. So this Saturday I had a wedding to go to and found some interesting things with my new toy. I was sitting probably 6 rows back in a smaller church with low lighting so I strapped on the good old 430EX flash and got ready. I forgot, however, that I had continuous burst on. So when the bride and groom kissed....I hit the trigger and boom something like 5 shots rattled off. The camera and this flash together are awesome. The recharge rate on the new Canon 430Ex is incredible, almost instant.
Hi folks. Welcome to the official CrossWorks Photography Photography blog. Here I will attempt (hopefully) to add some snapshots from the field and give you some info and reports on some good shooting spots and a little bit of history about why I do what I do. Well thats it for now. Be sure to check back often and see what little bits and pieces I have compiled.
